A good afternoon to me can be described in many ways, one of which would be working with a great family and my camera, in a quiet historic town! #historylover here! Check out more of shots from this gorgeous family's session!

Thirty Five years of marriage is something to be extremely proud of. Which makes me pretty proud to have been a part of celebrating such an event!
I remember years ago, when I saved up all my tip money and made the jump and bought a DSLR, that I thought I knew all about. Okay, I knew I didn’t know anything about it, but I wanted to, so I figured I’ll just fake it till I make it! I told myself this camera was just a hobby, and that I wouldn’t go anywhere with it, and that I wanted to focus on my career. Well, one thing lead to another and here I am LOVING capturing memories of my clients, and building a small business!
It is definitely trying at times, but I love being able to capture memories for my clients! I grew up in a family that everyone was obsessed with cameras- everyone. My mom and her sisters all had cameras, and I always just thought it was about the camera. But, it was more about the memories that the camera froze in place, to last forever! While browsing through Pinterest, (Love Pinterest!) I saw a small business owner write a letter to herself. It was to the fresh faced her, who was just starting out as an entrepreneur. I began to think what would a letter to myself say? I then sat down, pencil in hand, and began writing out that letter, and I want to share it with you all! You may remember Ashley and Allen from their engagement session in Newborn, about a month later, I got to be a fly on the wall at their wedding! The week of their wedding, while I was worrying about the hurricane hitting and making their day tough, Ashley was juggling finding a new venue for her wedding! I was worried about rain and not having any leaves left on the trees! Thankfully, our area of Georgia was blessed and didn't get hit like others did! I reminded myself, how trivial the lack of leaves are compared to the loss the people in the path of the hurricane have faced and continue to face.
Ashley's aunt welcomed the wedding ceremony and reception to their property. The ceremony and reception both, were simply and tastefully decorated with wines and rustic decorations. Her reception included a crawlfish low country boil and Bar-B-Que, and of course cake and a little dancing! Here is just a sneak peak into Ashley and Allen's day! Ashley and Allen are officially my first, "childhood sweetheart" couple to photograph. I am lucky enough to be a part of their engagement and their wedding! The two were in the same classes growing up, and sense their last names both began with 'S', they were always sat together and near each other, which caused them to become good friends, leading up to officially becoming a couple in middle school!
Sweet sisters! I enjoyed playing and working with these two beautiful girls! They both were so sweet and loving to each other! Sisters often have such a sweet bond, early on, often very close. Sisters are lucky- its like God hand picked a best friend for them- at least, us parents hope so, right?
Take a look at some shots from their session! We took a walk through "memory lane" with Trey and Tasha's engagement session! We went back to the spot where they met in person, which is a place I have been wanting to do a session at! I love the older structures, and Fried Green Tomatoes is my favorite movie! The little town photographed so well, and Tasha and Trey shined. Their love and happiness is evident and contagious, and I truly enjoyed capturing it!
I was lucky enough to be a part of Marcus and Amber's wedding day, on June 9th, 2018. Their entire, love filled day took place on a gorgeous private home, The bridal party and family got ready in an absolutely gorgeous home, welcoming to them and their guests, in a tiny part of Morgan county, Georgia. This lovely home is tucked on gorgeous acreage between Bostwick and Rutledge. Their ceremony was held underneath a large oak tree, with a field of horses and other livestock in the background.
