Recently, I did an exercise in a group I am in, we had to pick out ten things that many people probably don't know about us. Well, here is mine!

We spent the hour together, exploring through a sweet, historic park, laughing and searching for painted rocks! Aiden and Presley quickly found five or six rocks, maybe all of the rocks in the park at that time. They were not only good at finding rocks, but they were so photogenic- as was mom! Presley's baby even made it into a few shots!
They all three, of course show a lot of love towards each other, but you can definitely tell, that Aiden loves and protects his mom and little sister, while Presley thinks the world of her big brother! Sweet little family! This is one of my favorite ages, as a parent and as a photographer. Their personalities are developing, and they are extra wiggly! Mila was just that, and at the end of our session, she fell asleep, allowing me to get some little toes and hand shots! So stinking sweet!
Marcus and Amber have the sweetest chemistry, which was easy and fun to capture. We decided to shoot in a quiet cotton mill town in Morgan County. We wanted to see textures from older buildings, and wanted the rustic, outdoorsy feel that these buildings would provide. This is a couple and family that enjoys a lot of outdoor activities together, fishing, hunting, etc.
I encouraged Amber to bring their kids to the session, I know she and Marcus want them to feel included in every step of their wedding. We felt like including them in their engagement session would help that, and give them a chance to get some shots as a family. We had so much fun exploring the cotton mill town that we all forgot to get a shot of ALL of them together! So, we will just save that for the wedding day- June 9th! 2016 Valentine SessionsThis year I am offering Valentine Sessions, on January 30th! Photos are copyright to Amy Kent of Amy Kent Photography ©! I loved everything about this session with Makinzi, and I loved almost every shot. The location was spot on with the remaining parts of a house, and other structures built, we couldn't ask for more; calm, quiet, cool and it was just us there. By far one of my favorite sessions, in a very long time.
Thank you Makinzi for letting be a part of your once in a lifetime, Senior year! Hope to work with you guys again! Photos copyright to Amy Kent Photography, 2015! While giving the website a refreshed "vibe", I have been going through some work from previous sessions, I thought I would make a post for them. It is often fun to see how much we grow and also how much clients and their families have grown!
